I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Guys, guys, guys. This is a public service announcement! I'm way too excited about this, but whatever, I don't care. I'm interrupting our scheduled posting for this very important announcement.
I found an awesome browser extension to save you money
So, there's this browser add-on or extension, whatever you wanna call it that you can install into your browser. As far as I know, you can install it into Chrome, Safari and Firefox. It's called Honey. And what it does, is it automatically goes through all of the coupon codes it has on its database from people referring codes they've come across that work related to whatever it is you put into your checkout cart to buy online. It's basically a deal finding browser tool for online shopping.
If you guys have ever used RetailMeNot, then you know the struggle of copying and pasting code after code after code only to find out it no longer works. Honey literally solves all of your problems you get with RetailMeNot.
I can't believe I just found out about this company a few months ago because they've been around for over 5 years. I'll do a more formal review once I get more experience with it and poke around to get more familiar with it. I'm just so surprised I saved money right now from this.
So a couple of days ago, I was online ordering more contact lenses online, because they're cheaper if I order them online than through my eye doctor. Mind you, I've done this several times since 7th grade, just going through the motions. I don't ever think anything of it, because nothing really changes, as far as I know, all I do is order contacts from a site. Pretty standard right?
The only difference was, I didn't have the Honey extension in my browser.

This time I did and look at this:
How beautiful is that?!
I know it's only $30, but this was for something I didn't even think was possible to save money on. As far as I knew, it was a fixed price because I only get these contacts from this particular place and didn't even consider the possibility I could save $30 from my order. Sure it's still $360, but it's better than $390!
And the best part about this is I didn't have to waste any time on RetailMeNot scrubbing through all of the expired coupon codes. It was crazy, I got a notification from it that there was a deal and I was like uhh..what?
I was suspicious at first, but it actually worked when I completed the order. I also went on some site a couple of months ago I think maybe J. Crew and hypothetically bought a couple of shirts and pants, just making everything go to my cart, and the Honey plugin saved me over $200 from codes I had no idea existed.
So, you're welcome. I'll do a more thorough review when I get more familiar with it and see if I still feel the same way after I come down from this high and look at it a little more objectively.
Let me know if you've used it before and what your experience has been like!
